ARKNEST....TIME OUT!!!!!!

As I tend my gardens daily I have been reflecting upon the concept of what it truly means to "Nurture The Garden Within"...I had such an opportunity just a week ago when I actually took a 4 hour period of time right in the middle of the day to do exactly this. I had processed something really big over the weekend and was feeling the trickle down effect of it still on Monday. I got up Monday morning and went to Qigong class. I was yawning and feeling very wiped out through out the class. Although it proved to be just what I needed I still found my self feeling "out of sorts". I went home and said to myself"I am going to take a 4 hour retreat today! WOW...what an amazing outcome. After qigong at 9am I then read a most wonderful book "Take this Bread" from 11am till noon. I then took a nap from noon until 1:30. I finished up my retreat with some more reading. When my husband found me in "my room" I told him that "I had 40 minutes left to my retreat"!. David is a proponent of "taking time for self" so he was in full support of my actions. The rest of my day went great...I got the things done that I had intended to do that day with such grace ease and joy! By giving myself this gift of time I have received more than my investment of 4 hours in return. I am worth it and so are you!
