ARKNEST OPEN HOUSE...a success in so many ways....thank you for coming and supporting our work!
We began with the ribbon cutting at 4:30 with about 15 people in attendance. Within a half hour people were coming in droves, 82 people once all was said and done....what joy and love filled the space! This experience surpassed our expectations...here are a few emails we've received since the event.....
Wow--your place is wonderful; it was great to see what you're creating. Arknest feels nice and clear, the food was wonderful and you had such a good turnout! Congratulations.

ARKNEST....TIME OUT!!!!!!
As I tend my gardens daily I have been reflecting upon the concept of what it truly means to "Nurture The Garden Within"...I had such an opportunity just a week ago when I actually took a 4 hour period of time right in the middle of the day to do exactly this. I had processed something really big over the weekend and was feeling the trickle down effect of it still on Monday. I got up Monday morning and went to Qigong class. I was yawning and feeling very wiped out through out the class. Although it proved to be just what I needed I still found my self feeling "out of sorts". I went home and said to myself"I am going to take a 4 hour retreat today! WOW...what an amazing outcome. After qigong at 9am I then read a most wonderful book "Take this Bread" from 11am till noon. I then took a nap from noon until 1:30. I finished up my retreat with some more reading. When my husband found me in "my room" I told him that "I had 40 minutes left to my retreat"!. David is a proponent of "taking time for self" so he was in full support of my actions. The rest of my day went great...I got the things done that I had intended to do that day with such grace ease and joy! By giving myself this gift of time I have received more than my investment of 4 hours in return. I am worth it and so are you!

It's June and the gardens are bursting with New Life!The iris and columbine are beautiful and the Japanese iris are soon to follow. Please know you are welcome to come sit and listen to the waterfall as you enjoy a cup of tea in this most healing and restful space. We are busy getting the land ready to plant a Labyrinth at the entrance to Arknest. It is our intention to welcome anyone who would like to enjoy the gardens or the labyrinth as a gift from Arknest to the community.We are very excited about our upcoming Ribbon Cutting and Open House.Mark your calenders.
